Belal Hossain

Research Assistant

Belal Hossain is a Research Assistant for Dr. Bohdan Nosyk and his team working on the NIH Target Trials Project. Belal is a PhD Candidate at UBC SPPH with a strong statistical background in analyzing and developing methods with observational and pragmatic clinical trial data. His current research interests include causal inference from observational studies, integrating machine learning approaches within the causal inference framework, medication non-adherence, machine learning approaches in risk score prediction from a large healthcare database, complex surveys, and applying/adapting these innovative techniques in real-life epidemiological data.
