Nazafarin Esfandiari
Research Assistant
Esfandiari is a MSc student in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of British Columbia, specializing in health economics and outcomes research. Her Masters project focuses on understanding the economic impacts of extreme weather events on healthcare systems, under the supervision of Dr. Mark Harrison. At the Centre for Advancing Health Outcomes, she works with Dr. Adam Easterbrook to explore pharmacists’ perceptions of providing opioid antagonist treatment, aiming to improve care for individuals with opioid use disorder.
She holds a BSc (Hons.) in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University. Her research interests include supporting evidence-based, efficient, and equitable resource allocation decisions in health care.
