Embedding research within care: Adaptive platform trials as learning health systems.
COVID-19 has demonstrated that high-quality randomized evidence is possible to obtain, even during health emergencies. However, it also highlighted a large number of challenges, providing a roadmap for developing truly learning health systems, with the right infrastructure in place. Using specific examples, this seminar will discuss how to embed research in care, specifically randomization, and discuss barriers and facilitators to achieving that component of learning health systems.
